Q1: Do I need a fishing license?

Nope. All poles, bait, tackle, licenses, permits and life jackets provided!

Q2: Where do you launch from?

We go where the fish are biting, so our launch points can be flexible, however we want to also be as convenient for you as possible. When you book, you can note your exact location and we will be sure to confirm the closest launch point. Each City or vacation area has launch points that our guides use. We will move launch points to make them as convenient as possible!

Q3: How do I pay for my charter?

When you book we take your credit card information in our secure payment system and will run it the day of the charter. We authorize your card 7 days before the trip to ensure fund availability. We accept all major credit cards but do not accept cash or checks. This is to ensure all parties are fairly charged and paid without any surprises.

Q4: Should I bring my own beverages and snacks?

Yes, we encourage you to bring your own drinks and a small cooler. While your captain may have a few refreshments on board, bringing what you are comfortable with during your trek is best. Glass is not recommended. The cooler will also be useful for taking your fish home!

Q5: Can I bring alcohol?

Yes, beer and wine are welcome. This is also left up to the discretion of the individual captain; many will not allow hard liquor for safety purposes. Also, once again, glass is not recommended.

Q6: What should I wear?

Layers are best, especially if it’s an early morning or evening charter. Boats can be breezy so it’s best to start warm and shed layers from there.

Q7: What items are prohibited?

  • For the safety of you and your captain, the following items are prohibited:
  • Bananas (curse of the sea)
  • Spray sunscreen
  • Hard liquor (usually, you can always ask your captain as well)

Q8: Can I book over the phone?

Yes. if you prefer to speak with someone at iTrekkers, please call 1-844-468-8735. Also, if your requested date is within 48 hours, please call, as our online system will not let you book to ensure all details are communicated in a timely manner.

Q9: I have a large group, can we book more than one charter together?

Yes! You can start by filling our our Group Treks Form. Or you can contact us at 1-844-468-8735 to coordinate your group outing.

Q10: Should I tip my guide?

Yes, if you enjoyed your guide, tips are encouraged; especially if they assist with filleting some of your catches. Also, don’t forget to leave reviews, photos and testimonials to share your great experience!

Q11: What if the weather isn’t good that day?

Bad weather is an inherent risk anywhere in Florida, any time of year. It happens! First of all, you are not charged until you are on the boat. If bad weather prevents your trip from happening, we will first try to re-schedule, or else you will not be charged. If your trip is cut short, we will give you a voucher for money off your next trip with iTrekkers.

Q12: What is your cancellation policy?

At iTrekkers, we won’t charge you until the day of the trip. If you cancel more than 7 days out, you will not be charged. If it’s within 7 days, up to 24 hours, we will charge the card provided 1/2 of the price of the charter. If you cancel within 24 hours, or are a no-show, you will be charged the full price of your trip. Read more.
